Royal Family ‘disappointed with how King has handled family issues’ claims insider

King Charles is said to have been left 'concerned' at the number of personal crises affecting the Royal Family - and an insider has claimed that his actions have left certain royals 'disappointed'

King Charles has managed to ‘upset everyone’ in the Royal Family, including even Queen Camilla, a source has claimed.

The royals have faced an unenviable series of challenges and crises this year, including the ongoing saga between Prince Harry and Prince William, Prince Andrew’s refusal to leave the Royal Lodge, and King Charles and Princess Kate’s cancer diagnoses. The King has continued to make public appearances throughout the year, in spite of his illness – but the ongoing issues around the family have taken their toll on him, it is claimed. He is even said to have sought “spiritual counsel” to help him deal with the array of difficult circumstances.

According to one insider, the King is concerned that practically all senior royals have had to deal with problems over recent months – and what this might mean for the monarchy going forward. He is also claimed to have left certain members of the family “disappointed” over how he has handled the Royal Lodge situation.

Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine, the source claimed: “Charles does look at the current state of his family with deep concern. Everyone, it seems, has issues, whether it be health, financial, legal. This situation with Andrew and the Royal Lodge has somewhat divided the family…with Anne, Sophie, and Edward all disappointed in how he’s handled it. Then there’s the diabolical situation with his two beloved sons. There are fallouts with Sarah, Beatrice, and Eugenie, who are deeply concerned Andrew is not being protected.”

The source added that the King had “even managed to upset Camilla”, as she’s the person who sees the most of his “irritability” at various issues. The Mirror has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Last month, it was reported that Prince Andrew may have to quit his Royal Lodge home after King Charles laid off his security team. The monarch is said to have told the 10-strong detail they will no longer be needed from the autumn. Speculation has mounted over recent months that the disgraced Duke, who is no longer a working royal, will have to leave the £30million 19th century mansion as tensions rise with his brother.

Charles has been funding private guards at the Windsor property ever since Andrew’s armed cops were removed in 2022. Andrew currently lives at the Lodge in Windsor with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and is said to have rebuffed numerous requests to vacate the property since Charles took to the throne. Friends of Andrew say his 75-year lease on the Lodge has seen him say that he has no reason to give up his home he has lived in for the past 20 years. It is not known who would move into the Lodge upon his departure.
