Prince Harry’s next trip is ‘no accident’ says expert as fans predict reunion with William

The Duke of Sussex has announced his next 'quasi-royal' tour destination, which he will undertake solo – and fans are all saying the same thing in the wake of the news

Fans are all hoping for a royal reunion after spotting a crucial detail about Prince Harry’s next trip. An expert has now suggested the Duke of Sussex’s trip to New York, which he will undertake next month, was carefully planned.

Harry is due to attend the UN General Assembly High-level Week and Climate Week, which runs from 22nd to 29th September across the city. The visit was announced on Tuesday (August 27), with a spokesperson adding he will “participate in engagements with African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award, and Travalyst.”

However, fans of the Firm have noticed the visit could coincide with another significant event in New York. The Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit is set to take place on September 24. Prince William attended the event last year, prompting hopes of a royal reunion.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) one fan joked: “[…] #PrinceWilliam […] needs a restraining order against Harry for stalking.”

Another chimed in: “Prince Harry is set for a packed trip to Manhattan at the same time that Prince William is expected to be there to host the Earthshot summit. This has sparked speculation of a potential royal reunion in New York City.”

Meanwhile a third speculated: “Reunion of Prince William and Harry? Estranged brothers, who haven’t spoken in 2 years, to visit New York.”

Although an insider has now suggested Prince William will not be attending this year’s summit, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Express the timing of Harry’s visit is likely to have been motivated by something else. “The Sussexes do nothing by accident,” he said.

He added: “The reason Harry is to make this trip solo may well be to further his philanthropic endeavours. He and Meghan were last in New York last October for an event linked to their Charitable Foundation, Archewell. Last May they were involved in the ‘near-catastrophic’ car chase with paparazzi.
