Prince Harry’s bold move speaks volumes on state of his marriage to Meghan – expert
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the spotlight this month with the release of Polo, their latest Netflix offering.
The five-episode series aims to give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the elitist world of the sport. But the couple, who are executive producers of the show, only feature in the fifth and final episode of the documentary.
Harry and Meghan briefly appear in scenes at a charity Polo match – and while it was only a fleeting glimpse of the Sussexes, there were signs of a major shift in their relationship, according to an expert.
Body language expert Darren Stanton told The Royal Observer: “It’s important for Harry to be seen as the one who is more dominant and powerful. Meghan has previously been seen to wear the trousers in their relationship, which has affected his reputation. If we take a closer look at some of the posture and actions we see, Harry is taking the lead.”
Meanwhile, behaviour expert Judi James had another view, telling the Mirror that Meghan still manages to be the star of the show in the series, despite Harry playing a more key role. “Harry is really only a vector in their appearances, stepping back like a producer with a budding starlet to allow Meghan to be admired and to register a very regal-looking set of status signals,” she explained.
“She is seen as the super-WAG who cuts through all the macho peacocking to make the player she meets bend and giggle in awe and respect. Harry watches her proudly, also chuckling at one point and only really stepping into the frame when his wife extends a hand and invites him into the convo.”
