Like every little girl, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s daughter 3-year-old Lilibet has dreams of being a princess. The only difference? She actually is one.
This week, chef Adrian Lipscombe, a friend of the Sussexes, shared that she recently sat down for a meal with the couple and revealed a sweet detail about Princess Lilibet’s current interests. While defending Markle’s Netflix cooking show against critics, Lipscombe noted that she and the duchess bonded over their daughter’s love for princesses.

“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting @meghan over food, and let me tell you, she and her well-known significant other are some of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met. We talked about our families (mostly about our daughters being in their princess phase and the movies they love) and, of course, about food,” she wrote on Instagram, adding that Markle was “gracious, engaged, and kind.”

Ironically, Lilibet is a princess in real life and seventh in line to the British throne, while her older brother, Archie, 5, takes the sixth spot.
However, the Lilibet and Archie weren’t originally given their royal titles at birth. The siblings were previously referred to as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor by Buckingham Palace, respectively. But following Queen Elizabeth’s death in September 2022 and King Charles’ accession to the throne, they became known as prince and princess.

“The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became monarch,” a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously said in a statement. “This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace.”
