Prince Harry left guests ‘astounded’ with his poignant move on his secret trip to the UK, a source has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex flew under the radar as he travelled from the US to join estranged brother Prince William at a memorial service of their late uncle Lord Robert Fellowes at St Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk last Thursday.

Lord Fellowes, the husband of their aunt and Princess Diana’s older sister Lady Jane Fellowes, died in July at the age of 82. It was the first time they had attended the same event since their father King Charles’ Coronation last May.

Now, one of the 300 attendees at the event has revealed what it was like to have Harry attend. They told PEOPLE: “Most people were astounded that Harry came. He was on remarkably good form — and you could tell he was very pleased to see everybody. And he was very pleased that he had come over.”

Another insider said: “I think it was lovely – and right – that he came and paid his respects”, while another source added: “Given everything that has gone on with the family’s health, I suspect he wants to spend time with people. He is very close to his mother’s side of the family.”

Harry’s under-the-radar trip to his homeland for the service came just days before the 27th anniversary of the death of his and William’s mum, Diana. And it has now emerged that during his stay, Harry stayed at his late mother’s ancestral home, which is also her final resting place.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Harry stayed with his uncle Earl Spencer, the younger brother of Diana, at Althorp House during his stay in the UK. Diana is buried on an island in the middle of Althorp estate’s Round Oval Lake.

In his memoir Spare, Harry recalls visiting his mother’s final resting place and also taking his wife Meghan Markle there two years ago on the 25th anniversary of her death. In the book, he recalls: “At long last, I was bringing the girl of my dreams home to meet Mum.
