Meghan Markle’s Instagram Tribute to Her Dog Guy: See Every Photo
Meghan Markle is mourning the death of her rescue dog Guy, and her Instagram video tribute celebrating her beloved pup is full of previously unseen family photos.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, announced Guy’s death in an emotional post on Jan. 7, which included many moments of the sweet beagle with her and Prince Harry, plus a rare appearance from their kids Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
Scroll to see all the moving moments of the Sussex family with Guy, who Meghan thanked for “so many years of unconditional love.”

The 90-second montage opened with a shot of Meghan squatting to pet Guy outside. She adopted the beagle rescued from a Kentucky kill shelter in 2015 and they had been together ever since.
“I have cried too many tears to count — the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there,” she wrote in part. “But they are. And that’s okay too.”

It was followed by a still shot of Meghan and her pup all snuggled up.

Meghan and Guy cozied up in bed with a laptop — perhaps hard at work on her blog, The Tig! The Duchess of Sussex ran the lifestyle website from 2014 to 2017 while starring on Suits, and shouted it out in her caption.
“If you followed me on Instagram back in the day, you saw a lot of him — and on The Tig too. He was with me at Suits, when I got engaged, (and then married), when I became a mom … he was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort,” she wrote about Guy.
Prince Harry
Prince Harry nuzzled Guy in another picture, where the beagle had a cast and a bandages.
Meghan said Guy had a “terrible accident” before she moved to the U.K. during her courtship with Prince Harry, and that they would “drive late at night, after hours, to see Guy as he recovered in Surrey for months on end” after his surgeries.

Meghan and Harry were blissful in a close photo with Guy on her lap.
“I loved that dog,” Prince Harry later wrote about Guy in his memoir Spare, explaining that he’d never had a dog before because “I’d been such a nomad.”

All Eyes on Guy
Guy sat on a Union Jack flag in an undated shot that showed cheetah casts on his front legs.
The beagle made the move with Meghan to the U.K., and played a special role when Prince Harry proposed at their Nottingham Cottage home.

Prince Harry and Prince Archie
Prince Archie led Guy on a walk with Prince Harry and the family’s Labrador Pula in a video within the Instagram montage.
While Meghan adopted Guy before she met (and later married) Harry, the couple expanded their pack with Pula in 2018 and Momma Mia, another rescue beagle, in 2022.

Princess Lilibet and Meghan soaked up the sun with Guy, Pula and Mamma Mia in an intimate picture.
Prince Harry
Guy looked intrigued from the backseat of a video snippet where Prince Harry drove (and Pula rode shotgun!), as Meghan apparently chatted with Archie.
“He’s going to fall,” it sounded like Archie said. Meghan reassured him, “He’s not going to fall, don’t you worry. Mama has him. Thank you for being such a good boy.”
Good Job, Guy
“Come on Guy! Good job!” Prince Harry cheered offscreen footage that showed the beagle running on the beach near the sea.
