Meghan Markle’s astonishing milestone just hours after returning to Instagram
Royal enthusiasts were over the moon as Meghan Markle made a thrilling comeback to social media, setting the year ablaze with excitement. She debuted a new Instagram account on January 1 under the handle @meghan, on New Year’s Day, dropping her very first verified post. It featured an endearing video of the Duchess herself dashing across the shore to scribe “2025” in the sands. In an adorable twist, it emerged that her husband, Prince Harry, was the man behind the camera for this charming moment near their Montecito pad.
Back in March 2024, Meghan hinted at such a move when she conjured up an account for her enterprise American Riviera Orchard – but so far, that account remains post-free.
Meghan’s latest Instagram account isn’t her first venture into sharing snippets of her life with her followers. She previously ran a successful lifestyle blog, The Tig, for several years before stepping back to concentrate on her relationship with Prince Harry.
Her return to social media also aligns with the imminent launch of her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, set to grace our screens on January 15. Giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come, Meghan posted a second spot on January 2nd, revealing the trailer for her new series.
Spread over eight episodes, and featuring the Duchess as both the host and an executive producer, Meghan’s new show will delve into cooking, gardening, flower shopping, beekeeping and baking with pals, who so far include celebs like Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer, and Delfina Blaquier. Prince Harry also makes a very brief cameo in the trailer, suggesting he could be popping up at some point during the Netflix series.
