Meghan Markle wrote to King Charles ‘complaining about Royal Family rules’
Since stepping down from their roles as senior royals in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been openly critical about their experience within the monarchy. From spilling royal secrets in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 to their revealing Netflix docuseries and the subsequent release of Harry’s tell-all book ‘Spare’, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t shied away from sharing their grievances.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Sean disclosed that Meghan sought a personal audience with Charles, penning him a letter to detail the issues she faced after joining the House of Windsor. Sean revealed, “Meghan Markle wants some answers from His Majesty the King. She tried to set up a meeting with him, she sent him a letter and wanted a one to one to explain exactly the problems she’s encountered ever since becoming a member of the British monarchy.”
“The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, Loose Women and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the Royal Family.”
“Meghan and Harry seemingly don’t understand why it’s a different rule for her.”
Since stepping down from their senior Royal roles nearly five years ago, Harry and Meghan have settled into their Montecito mansion stateside with their two adorable tots, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. Meghan has rarely been spotted on British soil since they left; she was last seen in the UK in September 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral service.
