Meghan Markle ’embarrassed’ amid ‘damaging allegations’ with threat to reputation
Meghan Markle, who stepped back from Royal duties almost five years ago, is set to be the focus of a new documentary that could potentially leave her feeling “embarrassed”, according to the filmmaker. On 3 December, German network ZDF will broadcast ‘Prince Harry – The Lost Prince’, promising an in-depth look at the couple’s life in Montecito and their quest for significance after their Royal departure in January 2020.
In a chat with the Express, Ulrike hinted that the documentary might make for some awkward viewing for the couple. She also shared with the publication that working on the documentary gave her insight into why the royals were so worried when Meghan and Harry left their Royal roles.
Ulrike has made some striking comments about the upcoming documentary, adding: “Harry – The Lost Prince will look into one of the most heartbreaking periods of the Royal Family since the abdication of Edward VIII in 1936,” which delves into one of the most tumultuous times for the Royal Family since Edward VIII’s abdication. She remarked, “The most damaging allegations can only come from within. Revelations that shock the Royal Family only come out of Prince Harry’s or Meghan Markle’s mouths. I begin to understand the late Queen’s verdict that you can’t be ‘half in and half out.'”
Grunewald also mentioned that the film will explore Meghan’s shifting public image, which could potentially cause discomfort for the Duchess: “She [Meghan] might be embarrassed about the amount of criticism she now gets even in communities that used to back her after the decision to leave the Royal Family as a working member.”
Despite some questioning Meghan’s involvement and attitude towards the Invictus Games, there are those who remain optimistic about what the couple can achieve, reports the Mirror.
