Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s latest drama ‘ignored’ by Kate and William for devastating reason

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expected to attend solo engagements next week, but the dates have caused a stir as they clash with an important event in the Royal Family calendar. A royal expert said Kate Middleton and Prince William have ‘ignored’ the latest drama in the royal events for a specific but saddening reason.

This will also mark Kate’s first engagement of this nature since her cancer diagnosis, as she is scheduled to welcome Emir and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher at their residence on behalf of The King. Speaking exclusively to OK! about the timings of these events, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: “I simply don’t buy into these conspiracy theories. I don’t think for a moment that Harry and Meghan are poring over the Royal diaries to try to sabotage any appearances by the family over here.

“These dates are set well in advance – and who was to know that Catherine would be taking part in the incoming state visit?”

Jennie explained why Kate and William will be unphased by Meghan and Harry’s engagement: “I don’t think anyone at the Palace will be very interested in the German documentary. The King and William and Catherine all have far too much on their minds to worry about another probe into Harry and Meghan‘s life.”

She continued: “Nor do I think we should read anything into the fact that Meghan is not going to be at Harry‘s side. They have two children and if one of the parents can stay home, I’m sure that’s what’s best for the family. Also, no-one goes on about Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh going off and doing engagements on her own. And no-one suddenly questions the state of the Princess Royal’s marriage just because she carries out dozens and dozens of solo engagements. So why are we doing it about Harry and Meghan?”
