Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tour of Colombia has wrapped up but many have been left questioning the impact of their visit. As they return to the US, speculation is rife about the purpose of their trip and what lies ahead for the American-based royals.
Royal commentator Emily Andrews, writing in Grazia, suggested that Buckingham Palace’s four-word reaction to the couple’s South American jaunt last week would be: “Why are they going?”
This comes during a turbulent period for the Sussexes as they embark on a series of initiatives with the Archewell Foundation and Netflix. However, these new ventures have been thrust into the limelight following the exit of the Sussex’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler.
Emily Andrews noted that despite upcoming projects, including the recent launch of The Parents Network, Harry and Meghan are losing traction stateside.
She wrote: “Harry and Meghan’s reputation has also taken a hit in the US, while the launch of Meghan’s lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard has still not been finalised.
“It was scheduled for this spring, then autumn, and has now been reportedly put back until next year to tie in with her new cooking show for Netflix and to iron out trademarking issues.”
Speculation is rife about the future whereabouts of Harry and Meghan, with questions looming over the continuation of their projects, reports the Express.
