Queen Camilla takes rarely seen grandkids to summer holiday with King Charles
The Queen was snapped having a chill time near Balmoral earlier this week with her non-royal family.
Queen Camilla may be taking some time off from her royal role to enjoy the summer holidays – but it looks like she is still carrying out her grandmother duties.
The Queen was spotted enjoying a relaxing day out earlier this week in Ballater, Scotland, which is only a 15-minute drive from Balmoral Castle.
Camilla was joined by her non-Royal Family – son Tom Parker Bowles, daughter Laura Lopes, and a number of her grandchildren.
She looked chic in casual attire as she sported a black top, blue jeans, black loaders, and a green puffer jacket.
It is not clear whether King Charles has invited his wife’s family to join the rest of the members of the Firm at Balmoral for the summer.
However, given how close Camilla is with her family it seems likely they could have spent some time with the royals in the Scottish Highlands.
The Royal Family traditionally takes August off from their royal duties to relax in Balmoral, where the late Queen Elizabeth II was said to be her happiest.
It was the place she retreated to when her health deteriorated in 2022 and where she spent the last moments of her life.
