King Charles gives four-word health update as he’s given presents for Kate and Charlotte

King Charles gave a new update regarding his health during today's engagement in Southport.

King Charles gave a new update about his health during today’s engagement in Southport.

The King paused his traditional Balmoral break to travel to Southport and meet survivors of the recent fatal knife attack and their families.

Charles had a private meeting to hear the experiences of some of the young children who were attacked at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29.

The monarch was cheered on by the crowds as he arrived outside of Southport Town Hall where tributes had been left in memory of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, who all died in the attack, while another eight were injured.

During the engagement, the King stopped to shake hands and speak with some of the members of the public.

Linsey Hislop, 43, asked him about his health and how he was feeling as he continues to undergo cancer treatment.

He said: “I’m not too bad.”

The monarch was diagnosed with a type of cancer in February and has been undergoing treatment for it ever since.

The King took a short break and postponed his public-facing duties before returning to his normal schedule in April.
