The Princess of Wales was overlooked for the 2024 Person of the Year title by Time Magazine, which was awarded to President-Elect Donald Trump on Thursday. The 78-year-old had previously received the same honour in 2016.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believed that Kate would have been a worthy recipient of the Time accolade, praising her “charm, poise and a wonderful flair for fashion, the ideal consort for our future king.”
This time last year, the 42 year old was seen with her family on Christmas Day, only to undergo abdominal surgery weeks later. Although the operation was successful, it was later revealed that cancer had been present, contrary to initial beliefs that her condition was non-cancerous.
