How Queen Camilla ups the style stakes at the races in her favourite hue

Queen Camilla surprised royal fans by making an appearance at York racecourse on days three and four of the Ebor Festival, stunning crowds in a light blue-hued dress and cream trilby hat today, August 24.

As Patron of York Racecourse, Her Majesty also opened the racecourse’s latest development. The new, state-of-the-art, complex called the Bustardthorpe Development, was designed to improve the experience for racegoers and has sustainability at its heart, with rainwater harvest tanks, solar panels, and even a living roof.

During the visit, the Queen also presented the trophy to the winning owner of the Ebor Handicap.

On day three of the festival, August 23, Camilla once again donned her favourite shade and wore a Fiona Clare coat dress with a short collar, and four round buttons down the front. Underneath her coat, Camilla fashioned the look with a blue patterned dress also by her go-to designer. The long-sleeve midi dress featured an ornate pattern with white and black contrasting against varied shades of blue.

The Queen also accessoried with a Bottega Veneta Intrecciato small leather shoulder bag, costing £2,200, and on her feet chose to wear classic tan brown pumps.

Social media users on Instagram praised Camilla’s outfit, describing it as a “stunning colour”. Another royal fan posted two blue hearts to show their appreciation for the outfit.

To complete the outfit, Camilla wore a beautiful horseshoe-shaped brooch which is emblazoned with the name “Minoru” and covered with precious stones.
