Britain’s longest-reigning monarch died on Sept. 8, 2022, and in addition to members of the royal family, many politicians, actors, musicians, sports stars, and fans from all over mourned her death.

Now, a video showing some of the images and reactions from that day has gone viral on social media.

The video was posted to TikTok on the second anniversary of the queen’s death with the caption: “Two years ago, the world learned of the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This woman was a figure of the 20th and 21st centuries for the United Kingdom as well as for the Commonwealth. May God keep you.”

It begins with a BBC broadcaster making the announcement before cutting to fans leaving flowers and paying their respects outside royal residences. The clip then shows the queen being remembered during a soccer match and captures the emotions of attendees in the stands and the athletes on the field.

Next are images of famous landmarks lit up for Queen Elizabeth followed by the Eiffel Tower in Paris going dark. Members of the royal family are then seen viewing tributes to their matriarch outside Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The video ends with Prince William, the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton), Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle together for the first time two days after the queen’s death to greet other mourners outside of Windsor Castle.
