With winter often comes snow, and like people, animals will either love it or hate it.
The internet is full of adorable videos of dogs rushing through the snow and cats trying to catch drifting flakes, but one cat has now gone viral for instantly changing his mind about how he felt about going out in a snow storm.
Loki the cat, who lives in Idaho with his cat siblings Ed and Luna and their owner, has gone viral for his visceral reaction to being out in driving snow.
His owner has a dedicated TikTok account for her three pets, @purrandfurry, and videos from last year show that Loki can sometimes love the snow, one clip showing him making an adorable cat snow angel as he rolls around in a drift.
But in a recent video that has gone viral with almost 1 million views since being shared on January 5, the cat has clearly had a change of heart.
In the video, the woman opens a door to show fierce wind and snow and Loki instantly dashes outside, sprinting down the porch and into the thick snow.
Laughing, she calls him back, warning “it’s snowing big time,” but he simply looks back at her.
Until, that is, a gust of wind sends flurrying snow directly into his face. He crouches, ears back, then turns to his owner and rushes back inside meowing loudly.
Laughing again, his owner cries “I told you! I told you!”
“He’s such a silly boy,” she finished fondly.
TikTok users loved it, with one joking “he said hells no lol” and another suggested Loki thought “I didn’t think this through.”
One laughed at “the fact it got worse when he got out there.” Another put said: “You can see the gust of wind that made him change his mind!”

While many cats prefer warm conditions, some breeds have evolved to thrive in the cold, such as Maine Coons and Scottish Folds, according to Catster.
If your cat has decided they’re a fan of the snow, owners should take care to towel-dry their paws once they come inside, to protect them. Cats should also be fed more as they expend energy keeping themselves warm in cold temperatures.
In Loki’s case, it appears it’s the wind he wasn’t a fan of, as his owner has since shared more videos of him playing outside, chasing leaves in the blanketed yard and leaving tiny footprints in the snow.
