Sarah Ferguson says Prince Andrew is ‘great man with great heart’ and ‘I won’t let him down’

Sarah, Duchess of York, has pledged her unwavering support for Prince Andrew amidst recent controversies. In an intimate interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, where she appeared alongside her sister Jane, Sarah offered insights into her Royal connections and her personal battle with cancer.

She reminisced about their bond, declaring: “I was totally and utterly in love with Andrew. I would do it all over again, 100 per cent.”

Sarah continued: “He’s the best, a great man with a great heart, and kind. Our wedding was the best day of my life. But I gave up my anonymity that day. I was able to because love conquers all. It’s still with us today,” she said.

Additionally, the Duchess of York has opened up about her harrowing health journey, revealing that she was diagnosed with melanoma just months after a breast cancer diagnosis. “Jane insisted I get a mammogram; she saved my life,” she said. “I was sure I was going to die, then I looked up ‘mastectomy’ and faced it.”

In July 2023, she underwent an eight-hour mastectomy, and during subsequent surgery, dermatologists discovered a malignant melanoma. The duchess, whose father died from melanoma, admitted the diagnosis was frightening and that she nearly fainted on New Year’s Eve in 2023 after receiving the news.
