King Charles and Queen Camilla release 2024 Christmas card with hidden detail
King Charles and Queen Camilla have revealed their official 2024 Christmas card. To mark the festivities, the pair have chosen a photograph of themselves which was taken in the garden of Buckingham Palace back in April – and it’s a lot different from last year’s image.
Alongside the personal photograph, the pair released an accompanying festive message. “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year,” it read.
Christmas cards are a big tradition among royals and senior members of the family often select images to decorate their cards. However the couple’s choice in image is notably different to last year’s and is significantly more informal in tone.
Back in 2023 the pair selected a photograph which showed them in the Throne Room at the Palace following the Coronation. In the picture, Charles wore the Imperial State Crown as well as a coronation tunic and the robe of estate. Meanwhile, Camilla was wearing Queen Mary’s Crown.
According to reports, the image on this year’s Christmas card includes a hidden detail. According to express.co.uk, the photograph was taken at the same time as another portrait of the royal couple.
