Kate Middleton’s three words of encouragement to Princess Charlotte at huge royal event revealed

Princess Kate is a devoted mum to her three children – and she went into protective mode during a major outing with her daughter Princess Charlotte in the summer of 2024.

All eyes were on the royal duo as they stepped out to applause and a standing ovation at the Wimbledon Men’s Final. With Charlotte only nine at the time, it must have been a daunting experience. But mum Kate was on hand to quickly offer reassurance to her only daughter. The outing was all the more poignant given that Princess Kate had announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Wimbledon marked only her second public engagement of 2024, having previously attended King Charles III’s birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, in June.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman analysed the moment Kate and Princess Charlotte arrived at centre court, where they were also joined by Pippa Middleton. Speaking to The Sun , the expert revealed that the mother-of-three reassured her daughter by telling her to ‘come over here’ as they approached their seats in the Royal Box. According to the expert, Princess Charlotte looked slightly confused as they got to their designated seats, with Kate guiding her along, and Pippa shortly behind.

The future Queen was seen waving to the cheering crowd, who were also standing up and clapping for the Princesses, before turning to Deborah Jevans and acknowledging the crowds’ reaction, remarking: “So sweet!” Having been royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, Kate has attended the championships every year, becoming a firm favourite in the royal box. While she was not able to attend the Women’s Finals on Saturday, sources said she was “determined” to attend the men’s finals where Carlos Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic in a nail-biting final.
